BostonDOG Birthday & Anniversary Calendars

BostonDOG Birthday & Anniversary Calendars

Our first run, limited edition fundraiser calendar is here!

But wait, no year and no days, just dates... what kind of calendar is this?

It's a birthday & anniversary calendar, also known as a perpetual calendar. With a line for each day of the year, it's a great reminder tool that will help you keep track of annually recurring dates that are important to you. Never forget another birthday again!

Breed all about it

Breed all about it

This month we feature one of the most popular breeds, the Lab. Pictured is the Chocolate, the Black and the Yellow. Just some helpful info to help you decide which breed is best for you or some interesting info on the breed you already have. There are two types of Labradors, the English Lab and the American Lab. The English bred Labs are heavier, thicker and blockier. The American tends to be taller and lankier. The Lab is a solid, muscular dog, with short, hard, water-resistant, easy-care double coat that doesn't have waves and comes in solid black, yellow, or chocolate.

"who's walking who"

Every few weeks we'll feature a photo of one of the local dogs and his/her owner.
No more will you have to say,
"You're Spot's daddy, right?"

The "Petition"

The main goal of our group is to establish a designated dog recreation space on the Boston Common for the immediate, and hopefully down the road, branch out to suburbs and surrounding towns. We realize this will not be an easy task, but we think the health and happiness of our pets will benefit from a structured and permanent space where they can interact and socialize with other dogs. Dogs are pack animals and as such, they need the freedom to roam and play with other dogs. But they are a sanitary concern , and we realize not everyone, is an animal lover.

History & Mission of BostonDOG

The Boston Dog Owners Group (BostonDOG) was established to address the growing needs and concerns of dog owners in the city. The group's mission is to promote responsible dog ownership, represent the collective needs and desires of dog owners (and non-dog owners) and help create and maintain successful dog recreation spaces that benefit our entire community in general, and our beloved dogs specifically.

New website coming soon... help us build it!

That's right... we've finally gotten around to building a new website and we're using the latest & greatest technologies to do it! The new bostondog.org site will employ Drupal, an open source content management platform. Many thanks to Erik Schubert and Frank Washburn for their tireless help in managing this project for us.
